While the CD does feature recordings of Steve with the band, he selected this track as a demo of the bands overall sound and to showcase Danny’s tasteful and melodic approach. “It isn’t about how many notes you can cram in per measure…”

Kc Roberts leads one of the craziest funk bands in Toronto. Think Jamiroquai, The Roots and The Neptunes decided to put on a show with Jimmy Hendrix. This session took place June 2007. The track was released on a special edition pre-release CD. The full album drops November 2007.

This track is special because all the keys were performed by Todd using the following Speakeasy products:

This is before I got my Speakeasy preamp. The Nord Electro was recorded direct in stereo for the entire album. Wish I had my Speakeasy back then!

This song was written by my father, David A. Lowe, and arranged by my brother, Matthew Lowe, for the Down Lowe. It was recorded at studio D in Sausalito with Joel Jaffe. I used the studio’s 1979 Rhodes 73 with Dyno modifications for the backbone of the keys in this tune. Hope you enjoy!
